I thought it was pretty terrible. The entire season builds up to Robin and Barney getting married and then they undo it in a moment. The entire season was effectively a waste of time.

I think they wrote themselves into a corner. They were so in love with the ending they'd originally planned that they couldn't admit it was a bad idea with the way they'd evolved the story.

The entire finale was a very off-key note.
