its maddening from our landline, if you dial most local numbers with the area code, you get doo dee doooo im sorry EXCEPT...

numbers across the county line which is different phone co, then you must dial the area code but damnit if you include the ONE for long distance.
i swear the phone co is TRYING to put themselves out of business
I have no problems when using the cell phone with or w/o the area code
