Hi -
First off, I want to acknowledge that this transition has been more difficult that it should have been. Everyone here at HSX understands this, and wishes it were otherwise. There were a lot of mistakes made, and we're sorry that our little corner of the internet isn't what it should be.
You should know that we are listening to the constructive criticism we've been receiving. I'll post here a summary of some of the things I've been communicating to people who have written to support.
Right now we're busy getting the site stabilized and performance improved. That's our top priority, and this includes the desynch problem where people who log in see a portfolio of H$0. If you are one of these people and haven't received a response from me or the rest of the crew, please don't be alarmed - your portfolio hasn't been wiped out or anything like that.
In most cases there is a workaround - log out and then log back in. It's hardly ideal and certainly isn't our long term solution, but it works for most people. If it doesn't work for you, write to us at [email protected] and we'll look into it.
Once we've got the site stabilized we're going to do what we need to make the Portfolio page similar to what you grew used to on the old site. The viewing area will be larger, red will be used to signify losses/shorting, and headers will be sortable. We're also looking to return a lot of the sorting and searching functionality on other parts of the site.
We believe that this will address the largest percentage of the concerns that we've been receiving. Most of our veteran Traders "live" on their Portfolio pages, so that's what we're going to focus on.
There's been a great deal of sentiment asking for a return to the old site. Like it or not, we're going forward. Again, let me repeat that we recognize that there are a lot of trading functions that we need to restore. But the community features and so on are here to stay. Hopefully, you'll explore them and might find some to your liking. Personally I think that posting on individual detail pages is pretty cool. I also look forward to reading blogs from some of the vets. But that's for you to decide.
I need to return to my duties. I'm not going to have much time available for further posts on these boards for a while, so please forgive me if I am unable to answer your responses.
