Why does anyone need to liquidate? I don't understand the point of that...

it just means you have to buy everything back at a higher price if you ever come back. Just leave the port/game alone for a bit if you really can't play with the new system... took me less than a few hours to figure out a workaround to not having the ports available and now that they're back, I'm pretty much up to speed.
