In response to "Thanks Krusty!!! she and another friend and I had a lunch date today for a new place that called their marinara sauce "Sunday Gravy" - I am holding " by JenBro

My family called it gravy all the time. That's a huge argument in my family and with a lot of Italian-Americans. I would give it a try, if they're

using the term Sunday Gravy they likely know what they're doing in the kitchen.

I personally don't care what it's called as long as it tastes great. My mom said gravy but she was only half Italian. My pops called it sauce and would never use the word gravy unless it was brown and going on roast beef and mashed potatoes. I sort of agree with him but I was so used to my mom saying gravy that I got used to it and said it sometimes myself.
