1. It is very gracious of you (and speaks well to your character) that you neither want her family to find out from other people nor want your family to be in an awkward 'secret keeping situation'.
2. BUT you have the right to an outlet, a shoulder to lean on, and the support of people close to you. You are suffering enough already and should not suffer alone to protect her becase....
3....SHE cheated. She wrong you, and by extension (in part) both her and your family.
4. You are not a lost cause. You are a great guy handed a shit deal by someone you care about and trusted. Make no apologies. You did nothing wrong.
