I've read the backboards about all this. You got good advice and laid out why you weren't going to follow parts of it.
I do believe that you know Veronica best and what's best for both of you.
But...
Do what you can to protect yourself financially about the bike shop and whatever else. Not because Veronica may screw you but because whoever else is in her life might not take kindly to you still being in hers at some point. Not saying it will happen, but that it might.
And after this latest post of yours, have you considered therapy of some sort?
