You just had a shit bomb dropped on you. It's better to talk to someone than to simply drink it away 'cause it doesn't go away.
We're all happy for you if you're happy, even if you don't follow our advice. I agree with David that because of the business and the debts you should really have something official drawn up in regards to everything. It's as much for her sake as yours. It will make things cleaner and clearer in the event she does get wildly successful and wants to sell the business to somebody else.
