So, it's the default choice? I'm not saying it's not good - it's just a predictable choice, especially for group eating.

But especially for group eating, there are always people who don't like spicy food, or don't like Asian food, or don't like anything they haven't tried before.

Italian becomes the default. I love Italian food and I love making it, but I've had more bland, insipid Italian meals than I can count because of group decision-making.
