I've had a few people (my mom, and some teachers) that are sad/disappointed.

My mom because she's afraid of something happening to her (i.e. getting killed, being stationed in a war zone), and others seem to be disappointed that she isn't going on to college. I can say I never would have bet over the last 14 years (before she got to high school) that that would have been the course I was imagining for her. But, I think it's a solid plan, and she's happy and excited about it, so I'm happy with it. (I do worry a little bit.)
