it is natural to worry. My nephew by marriage just went into Afganistan in January.

we worry about him, he is a good kid, no idea where he comes from, as his parents are both lunatics. He seems to be enjoying his time in the army, and he will be in a much better place when he gets out.
It is a tough decision for a kid to make, and she should be given lots of admiration from family and friends for being able to make that tough call.
