I disagree with you here. Maggie and Luke played it perfectly and properly. They wouldn't be suspected (notice they weren't even considered by the victims, if anything, "Oh this will make Maggie and Luke upset," is what crossed their mind), they took out a serious challenger and if not them, someone else might have used it.

What exactly did they do wrong? The weaker skilled teams need to use the race rules to their advantage to defeat the stronger skilled teams.
