I haven't seen this particular production but I've heard very good things about it.
There was a very interesting article a couple weeks ago in the NYTimes about the effect these broadcasts are having on the world opera (performers have to be more aware of their acting skills, audiences are drawn away from going to local opera productions, etc.) but all in all, if this gets more people to see opera in whatever form, I'm for it.
