In previous seasons, teams have suffered a time penalty for speeding, but AFAIK it's not enforced very rigourously

I think it comes up mostly when teams have to drive themselves long distances, say 500 kilometres and they might be advised "don't drive over 100 kmh", and if they arrive at their destination quicker than five hours from picking up the clue they are time-penalized

  - OK - this is what I;m thinking of - in TAR 2, teams were driving in Namibia and advised to travel 20kmh under the speed limit for safety - Alan More Mar 9, 10:44
