Only a few of us got to see the REAL ending and we had to sign waivers swearing ourselves to secrecy and then spend the next few years pretending that the ending which everyone else saw was the real ending. It actually went on for another few minutes but a mistake in the editing room had it end where it did and they only realized after it first aired and decided it was a better way to end it.
