and frankly the cheapness problem we face today. We can get X for $8.99. And it sucks. Once upon a time (when most of us were kids) X cost $16.99 but would last a lifetime.

The latter is probably a better deal. But it doesn't exist now. Because the cheap short-sighted solution rules the market.

I really hate the cheapness of our country overall.
