Exactly. And the studies show they are easily influenced by surrounding events.

In other words, by ignoring an obvious solution to an obvious problem, soccer's imprecision opens the door for more biased outcomes.

I say baseball needs computer tracking on balls and strikes. I say football needs RFID chips for scoring plays and yard markers. I say boxing needs post-round official scoring (if not automated scoring a la gold gloves). And I say soccer needs accurate timekeeping.

I am consistent about wanting the imperfections removed from sports. People who enjoy soccer are defending its imperfection due to it being status quo. If the countdown clock were used, nobody would think twice about it. Period.
