1. Before becoming a janitor at Kelly Pickler's high school, he was also a high school student himself who ranked well over 130 on the Wechsler Intelligence Scale (making him above genius status and on par with Stephen Hawking).

2. Donny paid for his house in cash. However, most of that cash was received from payment on a project he worked on for NASA in regards to space propulsion analysis and design without ever leaving his home town of Albemarle. All of his work was done with paper and pencil, and shipped by secure delivery to the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas.

3. If it weren't for his fear of heights and planes, he would've been accepted as a civilian astronaut for NASA (and was offered a seat on the shuttle Endeavour on its last mission to space in May of 2011.
