Canada is currently ranked only #25 on FIFA.

Given how much impact one player can have on an entire country, I would expect you guys to be top 8 by the time 2016 comes along. Given how chaotic the Olympics can be, I see no reason you could not compete for a medal in the same manner as Turkey, Greece, Lithuania and Russia. Spain has the second best program in the world, but I am not sure Ginobli makes it to 2016.

A lot depends on whether any of the five players in question levels up by then. One alpha would put you all in the conversation for top three. If two of them spike earlier than expected, the path to the #2 spot in the world is there for the taking.

Stauskas is the type of player who will just destroy international opponents. The three point line is 22 feet as opposed to 20'9" in college and 23'9" in the pros. Guys with his range can decimate opponents like Carmelo did in the crazy 156 point game the US had in the Olympics.
