I don't even think Lou has a bad contract. Sheldon Mack ascended virtually out of nowhere.

Meanwhile, Williams was coming off an ACL tear, and those take a while for NBA guys.
I am really, really impressed with Danny Ferry. He seems to have learned well during his time in San Antonio.
