Am I right or paranoid about this?

A friend from High School has a Daughter 22 years old that just started going to a community college. Her math instructor after class yesterday asked her to stay after class. He asked her if she was open to extra tutoring to help her with math. He suggested to meeting her today at a park near his house at 6pm and he would bring a picnic snack and they could go over math problems together. That's bullshit right? I told my friend she should call the college and run that by the administration to see what they think about it. She is planning to go because she thinks if she does need tutoring and hes being helpful her refusing his help would hurt her grade. Which is exactly why I feel its wrong. I am a little pissed about this. I have known her all her life, lived with the family when she was 4 and I am just a tad bit protective of them. Thoughts.
