This isn't the final game. Far from it.
In very few words: 32 teams came in. They were separated into 8 groups of 4. They each had 3 games in 'group play', one against each opponent in their group. During group play, draws can happen. You earn points during group play, 3 for a win, 1 for a draw, 0 for a loss.
The top 2 teams in each group move (so 16 teams total) and all games become single elimination (no draw) games)
