I would think it's more that they have no choice but to buy insurance coverage that does include the contraception stuff they objected to.

Whereas before they could avoid buying it. Like Kilbo said it would be related to them being responsible for their own actions and behaviors.
I think their objection has more to do with the law then with controlling insurance companies. It's the law they wanted to control and change, and I guess they did that.
