I have no idea if this is true at all but some gossip site said that Colfer had been trying to get Darren Criss (Blaine) fired.

I always saw Kurt as Ryan Murphy's doppelganger and the linchpin of the show. And almost the very reason it was all happening in the first place. This is very surprising.
