Does anyone know Kickstarter well enough to answer a few questions?

Are their rules governing 501-3-c organizations from using it? Either from Kickstarter or the IRS?

Is it possible to line up donors before hand to sort of kick start your Kickstarter? IOW, have someone lined up to pledge the instant the Kickstarter goes live to lock up a 1 of 1 reward at a high dollar amount?

Exploring options for funding for something my wife is working on for her job.
