"I have terrible news to share with all who know my family. Our son, Maxwell, was killed this morning by an Amtrak train in Aberdeen, Maryland. We are planning to hold a memorial service for him on July 25th, and will share details of its location and timing here when they are complete. In lieu of flowers, we will be asking for donations, either to the Choir he so loved to sing with (The Maryland State Boychoir) or to our family's efforts to bring home his siblings to the memorial. There will be time later for details.

For now, I want everyone who knew Max to know that I loved him. I love him, and I am heartbroken that he's gone."
