I want to know why they don't price some stuff like in the VHS days: new DVDs MSRP is $100/disc.

The rental companies pay that, and then 6 months later you drop it to $25. Not for the fanboy stuff that sells a ton of copies, but like, for Paul Blart: Mall Cop? I'd be surprised if that didn't increase their revenue.
