i'm trying to line up meetings with a couple of my professors to make arrangements for the independent studies class that I'm planning on taking this Fall, as well as the thesis research and writing class that I need to take. The professor who's overseeing my thesis work is notoriously slow about getting around to responding to emails. I emailed a day or two ago most recently. i'm already planning on being on campus this coming Thursday to meet w/ the other professor, who is very good about responding quickly to emails. he emailed me a little while ago to confirm the time that we're meeting Thursday. I just responded to him to acknowledge that I got the email. in the response, I also "just happened" to mention the other professor, asking if she'd be around on Thursday as well because I want to knock out both meetings on the same day if i can. i'm hoping that he'll speak to her today or tomorrow and that that will spur her to get in touch with me.
I hate to be seen as pushy or anything, but seriously, i have only about 5 weeks to get things lined up, confirmed, and approved by the department *and then* officially register for the 2 classes in question. and to do that, i need to be meeting with these people. the one professor in particular, i've been trying to work something out with since late May. It's very frustrating . . .
so i'm not being to pushy here in my urgency to get in touch with her and all, right ?
