I think it's fair to question. Hamas though shouldn't be hiding stuff in civilian areas and they cry when Israel does what they wanted them to do all

along for public pressure to build. In a way you could say they are baiting Israel and Israel is indeed taking the bait.
I am also not for civilian casualties. But the civilians really need to put pressure on their own leaders. It's been proven many times that they do indeed put weapons in civilian areas to hide them behind human shields. It's a proven effective guerrilla war tactic when you are fighting a larger enemy. But it goes against most larger nations terms of war. Where you don't bomb hospitals and they should be off target lists but also knowing the other side won't hide weapons in hospitals either. If both sides honor that they you can make progress.
