So glad that my boss during a summer job after high school forced me to learn it. I'm grateful every day ...

It was doing inventory control for a metal foundry, entering part numbers and quantities mostly.
He made me enter stuff on it without looking, explaining that I'd be really slow for a little while but it would be worth it. He was right.
I've had people say I look like Data when entering numbers. It's how I can enter all those tickets in a short time when there is one of those lottery pools.
Possibly the best part is that I rarely make a mistake doing it and most of the time I immediately know that I goofed and can go back and correct right away. During the lottery pools, entering hundreds of lines of six or seven numbers, I'll goof between 2 and 10 numbers.
