I just prefer The Daily Show when it's not necessarily so much into "attack" mode and more into "poke" mode.

The show has changed quite a lot over its run, for obvious reasons, and it's nice when they take a break from the news of the day that already makes me sad to just go off in a silly direction.

I still love the show and would let Jon have me any night of the week. It's just a wistful observation of a more simpler, comical time.
