In the original clip Stewart admitted that the context and editing of his segment was misleading and that Cramer was not saying to buy the stock.

He wasn't saying to buy Bear Stearns *in that particular clip*. In that instance Cramer was saying to put/keep your money in Bear Stearns as far as if they were your bank or you invested through them, which is different than saying to buy the stock. Of course in that clip he said Bear Stearns was "not in trouble."

Of course, Stewart then quickly found a clip of Cramer seven weeks before it collapsed saying, "I'm asking people who are watching this video to buy Bear Stearns....I just think that this one has very big upside. Very little downside here."
