I certainly wouldn't be getting upset over it. Unless she's 300lbs and is eating them out out of house and home, then yeah I could see his argument.

But she's presumably sleeping with his roommate, ie in his room, a roommate can do whatever he likes with his room as far as I'm concerned, it's his prerogative, he's paying for his room, bitching and moaning because she uses up some eletricity drying her hair, come on, for the sake of a few quid a month, sheesh, live and let live.
