So here's my issue I need to overcome in order to get an xbox 360.

Let's just say I get the cheapest one (the Dell 20% off doesn't have that one) at $200.
Then I need a wireless network adapter to get online. That's $70.
Then I need a Live Card. That's at least $30.
Am I forgetting anything else?
So *minimum* is going to be $300 (plus taxes).

well, you dont need the wireless adaptor if you can use a wire.

I didn't get the wireless adapter, I used a real cable. If it's a possibility for you it's much cheaper and more reliable -- nm

You can't justify buying it because the PS3 is better? Yeah, that's a hard one. Killzone 2 rockes -- nm

Don't get the version without a hard drive, period. (That version also doesn't come with a wireless controller, I believe.)

rechargable battery pack and charger $35. But that pays for itself very quickly. -- nm
