she volunteered to play 2nd base one inning...immediately tried to stop a ground ball rocket by just stepping in front of it; not even trying to use the bottom of her shoe to cushion.

Nearly broke her ankle.

Just...why? We're not supposed to do things that are going to get us hurt; it's just non-alcoholic beer league.
