In response to "remember how yesterday i was stressed out over not being able to talk to my advisor over the thesis work and some of you said not to worry? well . . " by i'm not dead yet !

i would start by forwarding that department head email to each of the professors and ask how this can be dealt with by the deadline.

it is passive aggressive, but, so what?

"Please see the attached email from (dept head). As you know, I have been trying to connect with you but we still haven`t approved my (whatever). How can we get this completed by Friday?"
