You can see that Belak is slipping, so he plants his foot. The end result is that he -- probably unintentionally -- gets all his weight behind the punch. It's so lucky it wouldn't surprise me to hear that his eyes were closed when he swung.

But it lands. Sweet merciful crap, does it ever land. (www.youtube.com)
