programs and graduate funding to be able to accept more students who pay for the privilege.

For example, my roommate is getting a full ride and stipend for the MFA Acting program at Ohio State. If he had gotten into NYU, he probably wouldn't have gotten nearly as much funding because NYU knows it doesn't need to offer anything for people to be breaking down its doors to attend.
