Stewart, 98%.

The kid did something stupid which many others have done without injury. Hell, Stewart's done it.
And one of the handful best drivers on the planet ran him over.
Responses:
from what I read 2 other guys barely avoided hitting him and Stewart did his best to do so also, but his back wheel clipped the kid

Did you see the video? Don't read the articles; they're written horribly.

Bull. It's a tiny track, coming out of a corner, with the kid purposely trying to get in the way.

Question for you. Are you saying he goosed the engine because you read reports of people saying he did?

I see evidence of it on the video.

How can you isolate it to that one car across the track? -- nm

The sound comes from the area where the car then shows up. Sure I could be wrong, but it seems to be his car.

Okay. the one thing I noticed was the stutter step the kid took at the last second possible confusing the driver as to where he was going to go.

Right. There's a clear engine rev. -- nm

I agree, but what I do not know, is the reason for the rev. I have heard different angles on that one. nm -- nm

Notice on the tap just before he's hit another car runs by him. Could have blocked Tony's view of a person standing there.

It wasn't dark. Not if you can see the kid rather clearly on a video camera hundreds of yards away.

So, you have been to a lot of dirt track speedways? I have only been to two, so will bow to your knowledge.

We are watching a camera that is still. Not going 60 miles an hour.

We're not talking John Smith here; we're talking Tony Stewart, one of the finest drivers in the world; maybe the finest driver

I thought that too, about scaring the kid and getting too close. But you are making a huge leap based on what we know.

Will's description of it certainly seems to fit it to the common understanding of the personality types involved in racing -- nm

Also you say that he is one of the top drivers in the world, and then you say he messed up. If the's that great and wanted to throw dirt on the kid

Plus, in CASCAR you have a spotter on a radio that tells you what is ahead. On these dirt tracks you are solo. -- nm
