I say it was a horrible accident, with a lot of "blame" on the kid for being in the middle of that, and possibly some on Stewart.

I've seen the video, I've heard both sides, but don't have all the information as to what Stewart's actions "did." Hopefully there was a GoPro on the cart like I heard/read a bit was rumored, as I see him swerving, but he could have revved his engine as well, but it's hard to say from the YouTube video.
