For example, in 2012 the DNC was in Charlotte and they lost North Carolina. The RNC was in Tampa, and they did not win Florida.
In the last six elections, the only state hosting a party convention to flip its electoral college vote from the previous election was Colorado in 2008.
Also, the Republicans have lost every state in which the RNC was held since 1992, when it was in Houston.
