Robin was set to appear on the TNG episode, "A Matter of Time", as the time traveler Professor Berlinghoff Rasmussen. A schedule conflict forced him to drop out. He was inspired to seek a Trek role by his friend, Whoopi Goldberg. The role was written for him
the role was played by Matt Frewer...
