Counter-intuitive, but it can actually help new drafters to focus on a theme.

Because rather than getting overwhelmed in minutia of 3 RBI here or 2 SB there, you narrow your pool of players, take the best available when your pick comes up, repeat for 6-7 rounds, and then the difference between players is much much smaller and so you can afford more mistakes. Just plug the holes (hey-o!) with whoever looks good.
