In response to "Gin Pahit is an alcoholic drink made with gin and bitters, as enjoyed in colonial Malaya. The name means "bitter gin" in Malay. -- nm" by con_carne

Yes, my wife has been reading Somerset Maugham books, in which gin pahits are continually drunk by the characters

We tried pink gins last night - which have about a teaspoon of Angostura bitters in them, and they turned out rather well.

The authentic gin pahit recipe has about a tablespoon of bitters, which may just be pushing the bounds of reason and digestion.
