I am thinking of flying to Canada on a one way ticket (with another one way booked to come home).

That seems to be cheapest. What are the odds that this causes me check-in or immigration hassles since its international?

Should be okay. I can only speak on doing this in Europe. But having a return ticket usually works. -- nm
