Does it seem like they had a much better crop of talent coming out of the first 4-5 seasons than they did later one?

The earlier ones have had the benefit of having more time, but it doesn't seem like the show has attracted/produced as much talent as of late.

But like I said, I haven't followed the show much lately, so my take on this may be off
