The Indianapolis Colts ranked sixth on the list.
Here’s how they rated in each category:
TV Audience Rank: 8
Stadium Attendance Rank: 1
Social Media Rank: 6
Merchandise Rank: 12
Hometown Crowd Rank: 8
The Denver Broncos ranked second on the list. Forbes said, prior to Peyton Manning’s arrival, the team had three straight years in which attendance was under capacity. That’s no longer the case. Manning went from having the best-selling Colts jersey to having the best-selling Broncos jersey, and Denver gear is now among the top sellers with No. 18 on the field.
“Bandwagon fans can be good for business,” Forbes wrote of the Broncos’ surging popularity.
No surprise, the Green Bay Packers have the “best” fanbase. According to market analysts, 84% of adults in Green Bay are Packers fans.
Here’s the top 10:
1. Green Bay Packers
2. Denver Broncos
3. New Orleans Saints
4. New England Patriots
5. Baltimore Ravens
6. Indianapolis Colts
T7. Dallas Cowboys
T7. Pittsburgh Steelers
9. Seattle Seahawks
10. Chicago Bears
