Just seems like most of the child abuse cases involving the preisthood are from that long ago.

and that issue has been visible for more than the last five years, so I would think that anything that recent has been dealt with more effectively by the church than older cases. By allowing people to cash in on abuses long in the past, are we simply perpetuating a cult of victimhood, rather than encouraging actual healing?
