Growing up in NY state, DQ was a (seasonal) ice cream shop that closed in winter, I didn't even realize they sold food.

When I moved to Texas I learned that it was a (quite popular, particularly in small towns) restaurant.

I think their food sucks, but I haven't eaten there in many many years so that may have chaned.
