I actually think it leads to a change next year.

I think they go more towards what other sports have done and raise the levels needed for a failed test.
That said, I don't believe Gordon failed due to second-hand smoke. Even if they threw out that test, I would think his subsequent DUI would qualify as a violation. Gordon is either an idiot or an addict, either way he needs help of some kind.
The only thing on the Rice situation I'm unclear on is how it stacks up to previous similar situations. I know it's tougher than Pittman's penalties, but that started over a decade ago. And I don't remember other cases, though I'm sure there have been some.
